This week on Mel’s Top 5, I am going to be talking about some of my favorite lakes in and around Nashville.
#5. Center Hill Lake– Near Smithville, TN
#4. Old Hickory Lake – Northeast Nashville
#3. Percy Priest Lake– East Nashville
#2. Natchez Trace State Park Lakes in West TN
#1. Cheatham Lake– Near Ashland City, TN
Cheatham Lake is great for me because it is close to home and at times there is very little fishing traffic. Even though it is called a lake, it is situated along the Cumberland River, which means that there is a good current at times. The fishing there is always great since the lake has a fine structure of logs and deep water areas that contribute to a wide variety of fish habitats.
I am always eager to try out new spots so comment and let me know your favorite lakes in Middle Tennessee!
